Hello everyone! I hope all is well on your end. First of all, I just have to say how grateful I am for the support you showed for my very first art / merch release – I was blown away and completely suprised. Shoutouts to all of you who purchsed clothes, etc – It’s all been taken down and you will be the only people who every get that design.
It’s been a pretty wild time over here since the last update (pardon the delay) – My son was born about a month ago, and I’ve been getting ready to open the new retail biz at the same time. This newsletter is going to cover Nov & Dec so I can take a bit of time off during December. Ill do a new merch drop and update / new music towards the middle or end of January. With that said, I’m excited about whats on the horizon. First up though – the main purpse of this newsletter: The new merch design!! Got some extra variations this time too – I think this may be the beginning of a new “brand” by me called Essential Knowledge (more details below):
I’m going to keep these releases temporary / limited for now – Once I lock in some favorite designs I will likely start keeping a few around for longer – for now though, I’m still kinda trying to figure out what the direction will be and fine tune the style I want to play around with.
Es-K (essential knowledge) is a name I came up with years ago – I believe around 2006 or 2007 – It wasn’t about knowing everything, or claiming to know all the essentials, etc – It was more about understanding what is essential to me as a person. I think for the next few merch drops I will experiment with dif designs related to the “essential knowledge” concept and various things related to my art that matter to me (various gear, SPs, record crates, drawing supplies, etc). Hope you guys dig this new design – it was really hard for me to pick colors. I think this stuff would make great gifts for any beat maker or hiphop head. Please help share if you’re into it 🙂

DECEMBER RELEASES will include music with MCs (SHREVE, RAW DEFF) and ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE VOL. 2 w DJ Grazzhoppa!! I am getting it all ready now – should have the cassette pre-order link / release available within 2 weeks or so. Beyond that, we have some really exciting releases for 2024 including more new album(s!!) with General Steele (Smif-N-Wessun), Shabaam Sahdeeq, Landon Wordswell, Chel Strong, K. Sparks, MAARI, & More. I’m gonna get started on another true “instrumental album” soon too, as opposed to another beat tape – been a few years.
