Peace everyone! First of all, I just wanted to thank everyone for the support me and Type Raw received on our double LP “Raw Essentials”. We went through a lot from the time we started the first track to the time we finished (years and years of time) – seeing it come to life and have people take the time to listen and support the vinyl has meant a lot to us. For this month I have another instrumental assortment up on my Bandcamp page (everywhere else by end of July). This is an interesting batch to me. A lot of these are b sides / unused tracks from sessions recently – but I really like the energy of them and I wanted to let them breath. They’re mostly simple, raw, meditative tracks – some are a bit serene, though some are raw and almost distorted – An assortment of vibes to rock to. As usual, free download!! And of course, major shoutouts to everyone that contributes / tosses me a dollar or 5 – it really means the world to me. Since it came out I’ve been surprised at the positive reaction I’ve received from some friends and supporters. Sometimes people simply hear music in a way you could never expect or predict as the creator and that’s one of the awesome things about the whole process.
PS – I still may end up using some of these, so don’t be surprised if some get taken down or you end up hearing some elsewhere. To those who listen to my catalog, this is nothing new – you can find raw instrumental versions of my songs, complete instrumentals with extra sections and musicians, or developed songs with vocalists – all based on the same initial session. When I share stuff like this it’s a perfect example of the initial phase before I may take them further (or not). Plus these are from sessions on current in progress albums – they’re not being used currently but we may change our minds. I know it’s not for everyone, but I am ok with a few versions of things existing. Especially since everything moves so fast and even old music can be new to someone.
Gear used: MPC Live recorded through Handsome Audio Zulu, through Vesper DI Boxes, into a Tascam Model 12 (and a little 404mk2 sprinkled in there).

Another drop this month was a dope single I cooked up with Flip Physics over at his studio. Big fan of this one – It’s up on all the streaming sites, but I need to get it on Bandcamp and SoundCloud. Flip Physics is a long time friend and collaborator – excited to release more stuff together. Preview of the single is in this post below:
